The powertrain is also just a tad less powerful with its 2.5L Turbo engine churning out 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. But if you ask us, that’s still pretty impressive for an SUV of this class. And although the Telluride may barely beat the Sorento in these aspects (including towing capacity), the Sorento still has a lot to love.
The 2024 Sorento gets better mileage compared to the Telluride. With 20 in-city, 29 highway, and 23 combined miles per gallon, the Sorento remains a reliable SUV that you can take practically anywhere.
