Does the 2026 Kia EV6 have a fingerprint reader?
A fingerprint authentication system was announced for the refreshed EV6 in certain global markets. Depending on the market, the system can identify a registered driver, load personalized settings and authorize certain vehicle functions.
However, the feature is not listed in Kia's official U.S. specifications for the 2026 EV6. Because vehicle technology can differ by country and configuration, shoppers should not assume that a U.S.-market EV6 includes the fingerprint sensor.
U.S. GT-Line models instead include Digital Key 2.0. With a compatible device and eligible Kia Connect service, Digital Key 2.0 can be used to lock, unlock and drive the vehicle. A digital key may also be shared with compatible devices used by friends or family members.

Every 2026 EV6 includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and a separate 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation. The two screens are positioned together to create a wide, panoramic digital interface.
The instrument screen presents important driving and EV information, while the central display handles navigation, entertainment, connectivity and vehicle settings.

Kia Connect and remote climate control
Kia Connect integrates the EV6 with the compatible Kia Access app. Available remote features can help drivers check vehicle information, locate the vehicle and prepare the cabin before departure.

Digital Key 2.0
Digital Key 2.0 is standard on the 2026 EV6 GT-Line RWD and GT-Line AWD. It allows an eligible compatible device to function as a virtual key for locking, unlocking and operating the vehicle.
